May QISCA Journal Club Held

The May 2025 QISCA Journal Club sessions were successfully held on April 5th, 12th, 26th.

During the May 5th session, Juhyun Song from QUICK delivered a presentation titled Quantum Key Distribution: Principles and Protocols. Focusing on the security guaranteed by quantum physics, the talk introduced core principles such as the no-cloning theorem and measurement disturbance, and compared BB84 and E91 protocols in terms of their operational methods and security features.

In the following journal club session, Youngseok Lee from Sungkyunkwan University also delivered a presentation titled Quantum Computing with Ising Anyons. Introducing the fusion rule and braiding operations of Ising Anyons, the talk outlined the resulting Hilbert space structure and highlighted the limitations in achieving universal quantum computation.
